ABOUT

This community responsive development includes cutting edge technologies, design strategies to maximise sustainable performance and increased public access to the foreshore.

The design for the Headlands Hotel creates a landmark of coastal hospitality – a community responsive, environmentally sustainable and commercially viable development along the New South Wales coastal edge.

The unique coastal location of the Headlands Hotel, with its close proximity to the Sydney metropolitan area, road and rail network, allows visitors easy access to the region’s pristine natural beauty. The local area is bordered by a Royal National Park to the north and west, the South Pacific Ocean to the east and the economic activity of Wollongong, the 3rd largest city in New South Wales.

The planned hotel consists of 120 hotel rooms, 40 residential luxury apartments, spa rooms, public bar, restaurant, café, ballroom and corporate conference facilities, all contained within an allocated floor area of 10,000m2.

Just as the environment embraces the site, the site will embrace its environment. Cutting edge environmental technologies coupled with design strategies that maximise sustainable environmental performance will minimise the overall development footprint for the life of the project.

Public access to the foreshore is significantly enhanced. Pedestrian friendly landscaping links with the greater foreshore network and allows continuous public pedestrian movement across the headland, connecting the beach frontages to the north and south.
