  • Architonic Lounge

    The concept for this lounge was the idea of the arctic glacier, and LAVA developed a methodology to virtually design arctic furniture and print it into the real. It was a virtual exercise with physical form as outcome that cut new ground for realising and materialising a usable product. Using precise digital tools the design for the furniture was sent digitally to one of Europe's leading CNC-milling-engineering providers, to be shaped from off-cut foam-blocks. It was then coated with a glossy paint and gradient to enhance the artic concept and ambience.

  • Doha Tennis Lounge

    The Doha Tennis lounge was a contemporary relaxing environment for players and VIPs at the annual International Tennis tournament in Doha. It was made from a lightweight tensile membrane and fabricated using the latest in digital design and construction technology. Designed entirely in a virtual environment the pavilion could be rapidly installed and relocated in the shortest of time frames.

  • Evolution Desk Light

    LAVA was chosen by Wallpaper* magazine to create a light in collaboration with Philips. The lamp, Evolution, was on display at the Handmade exhibition during the Milan Design Fair in 2011.
